"Summer" in Seattle

(I wrote this last Friday and didn't have time to put the pictures in & post, excuse the time-warp feeling.)

We've been nearer to home the last few weekends. Here's a few highlights where there was a camera present.

We made some sushi with Deven & Noah. We love hangin with D&N and we love sushi so it was a good combo.

Ashley & Steven were in town from CO. We had a rare moment of summer-like weather and jumped on the opportunity to BBQ with them & the Chisums.

(Stole the pics from Val)

We had some friends in town from Vancouver/Germany and introduced them to some Seattle sights & bites. But the camera didn't make it. Then we went to Olalla with L&V, full of dreams of boating in the sunshine. Rain, rain, rain. We had a great time visiting with my parents though, and good food & good company seem to overcome many other obstacles. We had lunch at Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor, a classic. The boys were brave brave and ventured out into the weather to lay some crab pots early Sunday morning, and low and behold, by 10am they were proud catchers of two dungeness crabs.  If you've never eaten I-caught-it-this-morning-with-my-own-two-hands crab, you are missing out.

My cute sis Adrienne is in town for the weekend and she and her boyfriend Justin spent the night with us last night. We had a great time finally meeting Justin, dining with Ryan & Jaime (camera didn't make it out) and rounded the night out with a lil bonfire in the back yard. The sun is finally shining in Seattle, so hopefully Justin is getting a good taste of our lovely city.

Off to ONP for the weekend!
