Napa, CA 2012

We were originally supposed to have a direct flight home from Hawaii, but Alaska cancelled that flight and sent us home through Oakland. I wasn't too happy about this turn of events, but noted that Oakland was only a short drive from Napa so negotiated a 24 hour layover with them in return since we had the time.
We had lovely weather, stopped by two new wineries (V.Sattui and Saint Supery), returned to a favorite from last year (Alpha and Omega, still favorite), and had a great lunch at Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen. At one of the wineries they were crushing grapes that day, which was neat. We almost missed our flight home due to traffic, left the wine we had purchased in our rental car in our rush (were able to rescue it), and made it home just in time to meet up with our friends for Jarrett's birthday party. Hooray.
